The situation

A six-site statewide battery storage rollout needed a Preliminary Hazard Analysis and Fire Safety Study under close regulatory scrutiny.

Our solution

Delivered the PHA and FSS for all six sites, covering electrical faults, battery failures, fire, explosion and toxic dispersion using Gexcon EFFECTS and RiskCurves.

The statewide program proceeded with regulatory confidence.

Developed the FSS, ERP and ESIP, assessed fire prevention, detection and protection systems, and delivered site-specific responder access protocols.

An FRNSW-coordinated fire protection and emergency response framework is in place.

Developed a new FSS from scratch to NSW DPE HIPAP 2 within three weeks, addressing every outstanding FRNSW comment systematically.

The new Fire Safety Study was approved by FRNSW.
